At what price are you trying to capture the
Moon, while ignoring the smaller stars which are in your grasp? As confident as you might be that you are
going to capture the Moon, what will you think if it continues to elude you?
Do
you consider it better to risk your all on this great quest, while sacrificing
the smaller pleasures and satisfaction you could derive from achieving the
smaller goals you could more easily achieved on your journey of living, and the
accumulation of which might even be greater than the uncertain success you
might have in capturing the Moon?
Consider living for the small things in
life, as they can be more precious, beautiful and enjoyable than the big
things. But most of all, avoid neglecting the more easily achievable goals
which you could have, while investing your all in the on the still uncertain
quest to win ‘the big one.’
The Moon
will always be there, and certainly long after you have done your time on the
earth, as your time is very limited.
Endeavour to enjoy your living in ‘bite
sizes’ and avoid any tendencies to forgoing today’s pleasures for
tomorrow’s hoped for extreme pleasures. For tomorrow
might not come.
