JUST A THOUGHT - ON HOW 'FAILING COUNTRIES' IN THE AMERICAS CANNOT RESOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS BY RETURNING TO THE 'OLD WAYS.' PART.12.

So, no. The migration of the world's poor, of the poor and gang violence ridden countries of the Americas.

Is not a practical or viable solution to a problem which is really about resources. And how they are accumulated and distributed, and the social and political system of the countries affected.

Everybody migrating from their poverty and destitution stricken countries, or parts thereof.

Is not a viable solution to the problem which is and has engulfed the 'countries which have and those which have not', and the 'people who have and those who have not.'  No, it is not!

Neither does the solution lies in 'building fences and walls and reinforcing our borders' to 'keep them out at all cost.'

The problem is largely about resources, and their creation and distribution.  Of their allocation between peoples, nations and countries.

It is therefore a problem of economics, politics, civil societies, governments and the relationship between the governments of different countries ?

It is the kind of resources over which wars are fought between people.

Resources such as arable land, water, fire-wood, coal, minerals, forestry, and the ability to acquire and maintain work which pays a viable wages.

So that ordinary people can avail themselves of reasonable and adequate housing, health, education and the basic commodities to live a decent life.

Yes, these are the things which, in their absence or acute shortages, can lead some or a significant section of the population of any country.

To be continued!
