JAMAICA: A NATION WHICH CONTINUES TO GO BACKWARD INSTEAD OF FORWARD? PART 5.

Who frequently rebelled all over the Island, including the widespread and brutally quelled Morant Bay Rebellion in Saint Thomas in the East.

One could argue that one of the obstacles to Jamaicans making more advancement in the world.

Is that too many of them and their leaders are still 'fighting the war against the British and slavery.'

The are still too affected with the ambivalent spirit, the ghost of slavery or the enslaved.

That they are, indeed, living in a state of mental slavery, as the well-know son of Jamaica, Bob Marley, had observed in his Reggae song.

Also a Jamaica icon. However, although might have been speaking or alluding to Jamaicans, or the African diaspora still being subservient to proverbial white man, Backra.

My take on Jamaicans still living under the yoke of 'mental slavery, is about how many Jamaicans, are living as if they are living under the yoke of direct slavery.

And are in a state of continuous rebellion but with the absence of, and commitment to, a just cause to unite them in the building of a better Jamaica.

Instead of a Jamaican nation which is there to be exploited by the greedy, the selfish and anti-social Jamaicans.

Just as how the Island and its natural and imported resources were exploited by the elite slaveocrats.

Many Jamaicans, like people from other post slaveocratic and former colonies of imperial powers, it seems to me.

Are not able to sufficiently wrest themselves from the past and create a new reality for themselves and their Island.

To be continued!
