As fairy stories go, many are the men who would aspire toward and feel great privilege in having the honour of being engaged to and marrying a Princess of the distinguished Royal Family of Britain.
As would many women feel it a great honour to be afforded the opportunity privilege of marrying a Prince of this Royal Family.
Now, of course marrying into the Royal, or a Royal Family, as well as being born into one, can also be or become a curse.
As the many men, women and children of many monarchies, including the British Royal Family.
Who have been murdered to satisfy Royal, legal and/or ecumenical protocols and expediences, or machivellian intrigues, have shown.
So, being born into and/or marrying into a Royal Family can be both a curse and a blessing.
Whether it is more the one or the other is likely to be determined or influenced by the period, the circumstances of the royal family, and the fate of the particular individual.
'Commoners' or non-royalty marrying into a royal family carries with it its own vulnerabilities and hazards.
With the outcome being a mixed one for Twentieth and Twenty-First Century 'royal-'non-royal'' matches.
As we can see from the happy marriage of Prince Rainier and Princess Grace, the former Grace Kelly, had shown.
As we have seen in the unhappy and unsuccessful marriage of Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, and Diana Spencer.
Subsequently to become ~Princess Diana, the popular and much loved 'People's Princess.'
To be continued!
