Having acquired ours and getting through the thumb print ID check.
In quick time we had crossed the road from the reception and was now queuing at the second reception point in the main complex, to have a second ID and scan check done.
And now, as we wait, patiently, for the last of the other visitors to be processed and join us in 'no man's land', as it were.
Between two solid steel doors, with the one leading to route which would take us to large visiting area, closed.
Whatever feelings of apprehension we still harboured began to be replaced with feelings of impatient expectation.
In the knowledge that, once outer door was closed, and the inner one opened, we would be sitting opposite the person we came to visit within no more than another 10-15 minutes.
As, indeed, was the case on this occasion. Because, having negotiated the last 'check point' at the top of the two flights of concrete stairs.
And sitting in the corridor, beyond which the last door and it was all that separated us from the subject of our visit.
We now find ourselves sitting at our designated, numbered 'visiting point coordinate.'
Looking around to see if we could see the person we came to visit, we took our seat and waited.
But not for long, as our host arrived within a matter of only a few minutes, with both sides exhibiting the shared smiles of mutual recognition, which, without speaking, says, 'Hello? I am happy to see you!'
To be continued!
