A person is a reflection of their culture, of what they believe and how they live their lives. A bridge between the past and the future, between time and space and needs to try to keep them in harmony, less they become unbalanced. Not to be aware of the past and give it due consideration in the building of the future can distort the future. Neither is it wise to sacrifice your future because you choose to live in or as if you are in the past. One World One Human Race One Destiny (OWOHROD)

JUST PHILOSOPHISING - ON WHETHER EDUCATION IS BECOMING TOO COSTLY TO ACQUIRE. PART 3.
To keep the wheels turning, as it were. Rather than to facilitate major transformational social and cultural changes.
To keep the machine running as smoothly as we are able to. A smaller part of societies' role for education, is that of educating the societal elites, the managers, the inventors and innovators of our society.
All good and well, as the saying goes. Everybody might aspire towards getting the rewards of the elites, but not everybody can or want to become the elite.
The human brain is in charge of the human body and its functioning.
Even though all the body's organs make their contribution towards its health and how well it functions. There is an essential
inter-relatedness between them.
The human feet is concerned with walking and standing, her hands with holding and manipulating things.
The brain directs them on what to do and how and when to do it, so they are, in these and other respects, dependent on its assistance.
Just as how the brain is dependent on them to physically get it from a to b, and to be the sensors and transmitters through which it gets the external stimuli to process.
And is the different parts of the human body employed in educating and maintaining itself as a coherent system
The same can be said of our society, with regard to its complementarity.
Which leads me to ponder the escalating cost of higher education in the more developed countries. And the excess debt burdens which graduates are being forced to accumulate in acquiring their education and professional training.
To be continued!
