In those countries, we are more likely find expression of intolerance towards people of other religions and 'non-Islamic' way of life.
For example, in Pakistan, Christians and other religious or non-religious minorities are likely or more likely to be persecuted by the Muslim majority.
Islamophobia, similarly, is a malady which is more likely to be found in those countries with 'non-Muslim or Islamic' populations.
Such as the western and other countries with Christian heritage, and countries such as China and India, where, although they have large Muslim populations, they are not Islamic countries.
The history of Ottoman aspect of the history of some European countries, is also a factor in the aetiology, level and occurrence of Islamophobia within them.
As we are seeing from the attempts of some Eastern European nations, such as Hungary, in maintaining a closed door policy towards taking in non-European refugees and migrants.
