Protestant, Islamic, Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist or other faiths, was seen as underpinning the temporal laws of man.
Man, as it were, had not evolved and advanced to the extent where he, like a fledgling adult he then was. Had the wisdom and courage to demand his autonomy and freedom from the invisible Gods.
Whom other men, in ancient times, had proclaimed, made and control the Earth and all that existed within and without of it.
But that is not so, today, so why do men, and now, humans per se, continue to worship and take heed of, act upon what other men before us, had proclaimed is the will of God?
Why do us humans, who, in all or most other things, would lay claim to being rational and intelligent.
Continue to believe in God and to practise the religions which our ancestors had invented. To provide them with a false sense of comfort and security, in their times of fear of the elements?
Why do humans not, at the Christian Gospel entreated us to do, put away childish things, such as the incredible belief in God/s and the various religions, and act as the intelligent and rational people we have now become?
Even as we mourn the pointless and tragic killing of dozens of New Zealanders by a demon.
