Valtteri Bottas is on a mission, with a big M, and it is one which he has advanced strongly in the Qualifying session of the Spanish Grand Prix Qualifying session.
By Winning Pole Position and leaving his team mate and current Drivers' Champion, the dominant Lewis Hamilton, literally in the shadows of the session.
Bottas has done this by repeating, if not actually exceeding, and achievement Hamilton claimed last year, in claiming Pole by a massive 0.6 second gap between him and Hamilton.
This makes it look as if Hamilton was walking during the Qualifying session, while his team mate was 'road running, on fire.'
Sebastian Vettel, in the Ferrari stable, was able to claim P.3, as the star of his challenging team mate, Charles Leclerc, waned somewhat during the Qualifying session.
So, A Big Congratulation to the remodelled Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton and Team Mercedes, for having made it another P.1 and P.2 in Qualifying.
And to Sebastian Vettel and Team Ferrari, for having grafted another P.3.
Valtteri Bottas has had another great Practising and Qualifying session, and has been able to make them work to his advantage.
It is clear that, as I have already said, Bottas is on a Mission to Win the 2019 Formula 1 Drivers' Championship, an achievement he is clearly capable of realising.
To be continued!
