Having been, like his team mate, Hamilton, blessed with probably all the essential ingredients, except probably that of not having won any Championship as yet, and not having developed the habit of winning championships.
But what the heck; that can be put right by winning this one, Bottas might be thinking. Bottas, like Hamilton, has the car for winning championship; Car 77.
He has the personal qualities and racing skills, such as the fearlessness, the focus and concentration, the hunger and pride, and he has the ability to sync his car with Team Mercedes and the circuits and win Poles.
Thereby placing himself in the best position to win races on Sunday. For reasons which might not be clear, Hamilton continues to be unable to reclaim his past strength of winning most of the Poles in Qualifying.
And is therefore having to be dependent on vicissitude of the races to determine whether he wins this or that race.
So, what of today, Sunday; how will the continuing battle between Bottas and Hamilton to claim the 2019 Spanish Grand Prix develops?
Whether or not we are ardent Hamilton's or Bottas's fans, we should accept the fact that, based on their comparative practise and Qualifying performance.
If Bottas is able to repeat it during the Grand Prix, not only is he more likely than Hamilton to win the race, but he would have done so on the merits of having delivered a winning performance.
Hamilton will, understandably, want to make up for lost ground, both psychological and in terms of the practical threat which Bottas poses to his dominance.
This means that, unlike the last race, given the opportunity, Hamilton is likely to press his chances of overtaking Bottas at the start of the race.
This could create a more fraught and risky situation, not only for him and Bottas, and Team Mercedes, but for the other races. As they risk taking each other out.
But, let us not focus too much on the possible negatives; let us look forward to another exciting and enjoyable race.
