So, when my dear mother has a bad dream, as it has now transpired to be, repeatedly, and wakes up greatly distressed and believing that she has encountered a terrible incident.
What is she to make of it and what should others, like me, make of it? Is it 'real' or is it an 'imaginary event'? Is our dreams 'real' or are they 'imaginary'?
Of course it is likely to be legitimate to argue that our dreams are real events, occurring in 'dream land.'
Being the result of electrical and chemical fusions taking place in our partially paralysed bodies, to prevent us suffering harm by being too physically mobile in our dreams.
So, yes, my dear mother is not wrong when she challenges me to refute my suggestion that it must be duppy that is disturbing her.
