BREXIT - A VERY BRITISH VERSION OF THE CALIPHATE? PART 2.

Back to 'the special relationship' between the USA and Britain.

Well, of course it is not really that surprising that they should have 'a special relation.'

Since large parts of North America were colonised by the British before the diverse European immigrants and descendants of immigrants who were living there during the late 1700s fought and defeated the English and declared themselves independent.

So, yes, tenuous as it might appear and become at times, their is a tangible and historical linkage between the United States of America and Britain. Quite apart from the continuing Nato and trade links.

But while this link can manifest itself in positive ways, it can also do it in negative ways.

As we have seen from how Trumpism has manifested itself in becoming a curse in highlighting and enhancing divisions and conflict in the USA.

Becoming a blight on the nation's already scarred landscape. And how it has become cloned in Britain, in the form of Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage and their isolationist and nationalist politics and policies.

As the saying goes, what viruses the USA catch today, Britain is destined to catch them tomorrow or the day after, or ...

To be continued!
