Similarly, for those of us, who, like my dear mother, are cursed and/or blessed to be able to move toward our death in a more timely manner, how we do so, is more a matter of personal choice.
Some of us will want to try to 'live our lives to the full.' Some of us will want to make, where we can, a gradual disengagement from the world, by losing our interest in and giving up things that we used or are still doing.
Our motivation becomes less, and we can no longer be bothered to do certain things.
Especially those which bring us less or no pleasure at all. Those which we do not consider worthwhile anymore.
Some of us might even get to the stage where we no longer have any great motivation or even desire to live anymore, and seem to assume 'a position of waiting to die.'
Death, it might appear, cannot come soon enough. And yet, such is life, that, where you are able to live it, though you might feel like giving it up today.
Tomorrow you could become infused with the desire to live it; you could regain your mojo, your motivation to live again.
Because, such is life that, if we are fortunate, each day might offer us two options; those of things improving or deteriorating.
To be continued!
