An injustice to both Mary and Joseph and their relatives. An act which would have at least seen Mary being treated with great derision.
Not to mention serious concern for her mental health, for coming up with such a fanciful story about her pregnancy.
G.: And, you and the 'unbelievers, T? What are you saying? Are you saying that it is not acceptable, not moral or legal to not only conveniently clothed and disguise what is reported to have occurred between 'God' and Mary.
But to also attempt to use it as the ultimate embodiment of the relationship between 'God' and humans?
T.: Precisely so, G. Which is why I find the whole concept and practice of theistic religions, and the belief in a sentient 'God' to be contradictory to human logic and reasoning.
Which is proof, if you like, of how the Christian religion, like all theistic religions, is clearly predicated upon a fallacious and deceptive legend. Upon untruths, lies, speculation, and embellished myths.
