1. The Police citizen and the Citizen
In any society which prides itself on rational and reasonable thought and action, the police, as agents of the law and of the state.
It should be made the duty of the police to, at all times, states their purpose for accosting the citizen, and the legal basis for doing so.
The Police should learn to accept and cooperate with reasonable challenges from those on whom they endeavour to exercise their authority.
They need to ensure that they exercise their authority not only lawfully, but also with mutual respect and proper regard for the citizen on whom they are or intend to exercise their authority.
