With this level of performance, there is now no doubt that Hamilton and Bottas and Team Mercedes have the required equipment and the race strategies.
Which could/should enable Hamilton to achieve his 8th Drivers World Championship title, and Team Mercedes another Constructor's title.
They have it, but in order to achieve these goals, they must consistently achieve the quality of performance they have laid down during the SP Grand Prix during the next 3 Grand Prix of the 2021 Formula 1 season.
Because, assuming that the gods will continue to allow the respective teams and drivers to race and perform without their, the gods, intervening. Team Mercedes need to win the 3 remaining races, to remove Max's 14 points lead in the Championship.
Or Max would have to lose them by finishing in the commensurate lower order finishing positions.
But that would be about Hamilton winning the Championship because Max 'lost' it.
As it is given to us to live mostly in the present, while we contemplate on the future and reflect on the past.
So should we savour the enjoyment we have had from experiencing what Team Mercedes and Hamilton and Bottas, and, indeed, all the other intrepid racers who have participated in this race. Let me say;
A Very Big Congratulations to Team Mercedes and to Hamilton and Bottas, for making it a P.1 and P.3, and to Team Red Bull and Verstappen, for making it to P.2, during Sunday's Grand Prix.
A Very Big Congratulations to all the Racers and their respective Teams, for the contributions all of you have made.
And now, on to Qatar for the next episode of the 2021 Formula 1 season, to see how fate will unfolds and what shall transpire.
Freeing our minds of any belief of certainty about what will be, as it has not yet been disclosed to us what it shall be.
And as every racer knows only too well, that a race is not won or lost until the first racer greets the person with the Checkered Flag, on the last lap of the race.
Nothing happens or does not happen, simple because we wish or hope it to be so.
